Spring Dragon! by CelestialCreatures Spring Dragon! by CelestialCreatures
Here is the Spring Dragon! He is bringing the blossoms and new life to the world. ^.^ His skin is made of bark and his wings are the new leaves of the season. Left unglazed for natural look. :)

Holy cow you guys! @.@
This one about drove me bonkers but the end result was sooooo worth it! :happybounce:

I bit the bullet and bought a pasta roller just so I could try out a skinner blend for the wings and sooo happy I made the extra effort! ^.^ I had never done it before but I really like it and will have to use more going forward!

Made from polymer clay 3 1/2" tall by 4 1/2" long

Other Seasons:

Are the gems glass, crystal or plastic? What do craft shops call them? I've tried to find them on-line but it's next to impossible when you're not sure what to call them.  Sweating a little...

I use Swarovski crystals which are made of glass.

That's just what I'm looking for! Do you buy them online or in a Swarovski shop?

Your Fall Dragon has got to be my favourite out of this set, but I can see that a lot of work has gone into Spring! You must have breathed a sigh of relief when it was finally done.

I buy mine at Michael's, my closest arts and crafts store. I bet you could probably find cheaper deals online though.

Fall was pretty cool too but Spring is my favorite. Guess it shows in the amount of work I put into it! LOL
Yes, I was thoroughly ready to be done by the sixth hour and my husband picked that exact time to start stressing me out with other things lol. I'm like can you wait another couple of hours? I'm totally into this dragon. ;) Haha!

Thanks for the help! I'll keep searching. :) (Smile)

Ha ha! Yes it would be like 'Go away! I'm crafting. Can't you see that a masterpiece is about to be born?'
I love that excitement when you see that a project is working and taking shape. It can be exhausting but at the same time you can't bear to tear yourself away!

This is fantastic! So unique and inspired, and the detail is flawless. I especially love the wood detail and the crystals. :D

Thank you! ^.^ Huggle! Doing the "wood" skin was a lot of fun and I plan to make more creatures with skin like this soon! ;)
